Job Description

Role snapshot

Job type: Casual

Shifts: 6-8 hour shifts with flexible hours. Build your roster to suit you.  From 24 hours up to 40 hours per week if desired.

Locations: Mainly Northern & Southeastern suburbs

Participants: Adults with psychosocial disability, autism, behaviours of concern and/or high physical support needs, usually in 1:1 or 2:1 SIL and community-based settings.
 

Shift types: Day, afternoon, sleepover and weekend shift available, rosters tailored to your availability.


What you’ll do

No two days are the same. Every shift, you’ll make a real difference by:

  • Providing respectful personal care and medication support
  • Preparing simple, healthy meals and helping keep homes calm and comfortable
  • Getting out into the community:  appointments, shops, social outings and activities
  • Building genuine connections and creating positive daily routines
  • Supporting participants to work towards their own goals – more independence, confidence and community involvement

What you’ll need (Essential)

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in complex care / behaviours of concern
  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or Community Support (or equivalent)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • Current relevant certificates (e.g. First Aid/CPR, manual handling, medication, NDIS modules, etc.)
